The Telangana State Police Welfare Wing is utilising its funds for welfare activities. Subscriptions are collected from the Police Personnel/Ministerial staff of the ranks from PCs to Inspectors & Class-IV to Superintendents.
Bhadratha has been registered under the Societies Registration Act, 2001. All the employees working in the Telangana Police Department including Ministerial staff shall enroll themselves as members of Bhadratha and contribute monthly subscription of Rs.800/- p.m. (PC to ASI & equivalent cadres) and Rs.1,600/- p.m. (SI to DGP & equivalent cadres) which would be refunded to the members at the time of their retirement with interest.
A trust has been registered under Telangana trust act by the Police department to run a scheme called as Arogya Bhadratha scheme and managed by 11 trust members of DGP as the Chairman, IGP (Welfare) as Vice Chairman and (09) other members. The Secretary is the Chief Executive officer to run the day-to-day administration. Aims and objectives to provide medical treatment on a cashless basis to the Police officers and their dependents to undergo major operations wherever necessary and to release the mental tension among the police personnel, as they may not meet heavy medical expenses. Arogya Bhadratha arranges the best treatment to the police personnel and their eligible dependents at Super Specialty Hospitals. To pay the medical expenses directly to the hospital where approved operations/treatment took place.
